Can I generate subtitles from a video URL?
Yes. Upload a file or paste an individual public video link from Twitter / X, YouTube Shorts, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok. Choose your languages and click Generate; fetching and transcription run automatically. YouTube URL imports support Shorts only and request the highest available resolution, up to 4K. URL imports support videos up to 512 MB and depend on the provider being able to retrieve the recording.
Can I use private posts or any website URL?
No. URL import accepts HTTPS links from the supported sites only. Private posts, login-protected videos and some public recordings are unavailable. Upload your own video file if the link cannot be imported. The importer does not sign into your social accounts.
Do linked videos have a separate free allowance?
No. URL imports and uploaded files share the same daily allowance: 3 recordings without an account or 5 with an account, each up to 120 seconds. Free video exports include a watermark. Upgrade for longer recordings and watermark-free exports.
Is this free?
There's a free tier: 3 files of up to 120 seconds per day without an account, and 5 files a day with a free account. Longer files and higher volume need a plan, which gives you 300 or 1,000 credits every month from $10. You can cancel any time.
How many videos can I do?
On the free tier, 3 a day without an account and 5 a day with one, each up to 120 seconds. Beyond that it depends on your credits — each credit covers one minute of video or audio, and there's no daily limit.
How long does it take?
Any length videos can be done in under 3 minutes.
Do credits expire?
Your plan's credits are good for the month they're added and don't roll over — a fresh batch lands at the start of each month. Credits bought as one-off packs before 7 August 2026 have no expiry and stay usable. Expired credits can't be restored or refunded, and if you ask us to delete your account any credits remaining on it are deleted with it.
